Rowers win at historic Henley

New Zealand rowers have won four of their finals at the historic Henley Royal Regatta on the Thames near London.

The winners were single scullers Mahe Drysdale and Emma Twigg, the men's pair of Hamish Bond and Eric Murray, and the men's double of Nathan Cohen and Matthew Trott.

Rowing New Zealand's high performance manager Alan Cotter says it was good to win at a different event than the world cup regattas, the wins coming in Henley's match racing format, which predates most rowing federations.

Cotter says it also gave the crews valuable experience in England on the course that'll be used for the London Olympics in 2012.
