Mortlock says Wallabies havee moved on

6:27 am on 8 July 2009

Captain Stirling Mortlock says the Wallabies feel for sacked former teammate Lote Tuqiri and have made contact with him, but are now focusing on their opening Tri-Nations Test against the All Blacks in Auckland.

The Australian squad has reconvened in Sydney without Tuqiri, who the Australian Rugby Union sacked last week.

The veteran centre Mortlock spoke on behalf of the group after Tuqiri's dismissal was discussed at a team meeting yesterday.

He says the unfortunate thing for the team is no one actually knows what happened and legally they can't comment anyway.

Mortlock says many of the team are close to Tuqiri and feel for him and his family but that is pretty much all they can say and their focus is now on the test at Eden Park on Saturday week.
