Formula One's money man Bernie Ecclestone has apologised for recently praising Adolf Hitler as a man who "was able to get things done".

Formula one's commercial rights holder has issued a statement unreservedly apologising for the remarks in an interview given to the Times newspaper last weekend, saying he was extremely embarrassed and distressed that his comments have been used to suggest he supported Hitler and Saddam Hussein.
