FOTA teams walk out of meeting on 2010 F1 rules

The eight members of the Formula One Teams Association have walked out of a meeting with the sport's governing body at which they had been due to discuss next year's rules.

The International Automobile Federation says the eight FOTA teams were invited to discuss their further proposals for nerxt year but walked out of the meeting.

FOTA, led by Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo, had threatened to form their own breakaway championship until a deal was agreed with the FIA last month.

The three new teams, plus Williams and Force India who are suspended from FOTA, did attend the technical working group meeting at the Nuerburgring ahead of tjhis weekend's German Grand Prix.
