The Bahraini Athletics Federation has confirmed that a "B" sample of a drugs test taken from their Olympic 1500 metres champion Rashid Ramzi has produced a positive result.
In February, Moroccan-born Ramzi tested positive for the new form of the blood boosting drug EPO, and the B sample has also revealed the presence of a banned drug.
If Ramzi is stripped of his gold medal, Kenya's Asbel Kiprop would be promoted to first and New Zealand's Nick Willis would be promoted to the silver medal position.
