FIA expects Formula One agreement in days

Formula One's ruling body has made it clear that yesterday's walkout by eight rebel teams from a technical meeting in Germany is unlikely to upset the recent settlement of difficulties between the two sides, and a final draft of the rules for next year could be ready for signing during this weekend's German Grand Prix.

The rebel teams claimed the FIA had put the future of the sport in jeopardy again after their long-running feud and threatened breakaway series had dominated the last three months before their recent settlement agreement.
