5 gold medals for NZ rowers

The New Zealand rowing squad has won 5 gold medals in the latest world cup regatta in Lucerne, Switzerland.

New Zealand has again confirmed itself as the world's top nation in small boat rowing... after picking up 7 medals in the last world cup regatta... single scullers Mahe Drysdale and Duncan Grant, lightweight scullers Storm Uru and Peter Taylor, the pair of Eric Murray and Hamish Bond and the women's double of Rebecca Scown and Emma Feathery all won in Lucerne to show they're on track for the World Championships in August.

Murray and Bond were the most impressive finishing well clear of the field including the highly respected British pair.

Emma Twigg was second in the women's single sculls, the women's quad was third and the men's double 4th.
