Only one change to Wallabies

3:27 pm on 14 July 2009

The return of Wycliff Palu is the only change to the Wallabies starting 15 for Saturday night's Tri Nations Series opener against the All Blacks from the side which started in the win over France in Sydney last month.

The 26-year-old No 8 is back from a hand injury so Richard Brown switches from the back of the scrum to blindside flanker and utility forward Dean Mumm goes to a bench of five forwards and two backs.

Last season the All Blacks recovered from a bad loss in Sydney to win 39-10 at Eden Park and the Wallaby coach Robbie Deans says the home side's record there is outstanding with wins in the last 10 trans-Tasman tests.

The team: Adam Ashley-Cooper, Lachie Turner, Stirling Mortlock (c), Berrick Barnes, Matt Giteau, Drew Mitchell, Luke Burgess; Wycliff Palu, George Smith, Richard Brown, Nathan Sharp, James Horwill, Al Baxter, Stephen Moore, Benn Robinson. Reserves: Tatafu Poloata-Nau, Ben Alexander, Dean Mumm, Phil Waugh, David Pocock, Will Genia, James O'Connor.
