NRL debut for Warriors' new standoff

Standoff Isaac John will make his National Rugby League debut for the Warriors in their round 19 encounter with the Roosters in Sydney on Sunday.

The 20-year-old's start at No6 will see Lance Hohaia reverting to an impact role off the interchange bench.

John is the seventh player over the last two seasons to earn first-grade selection after playing for the Junior Warriors' in the National Youth Competition.

He follows Sonny Fai, Russell Packer, Ben Matulino, Leeson Ah Mau, Daniel O'Regan and Kevin Locke

Other changes to the side that lost to the Bulldogs see centre Jerome Ropati back from a shoulder injury while captain Steve Price is named to fill his regular spot after tomorrow night's third State of Origin clash.

Ropati's return sees Simon Mannering starting in the second row alongside Jacob Lillyman while Lewis Brown moves from the back row to a five man bench which includes prop Russell Packer.
