Pakistan cave in to lose series in Sri Lanka

5:36 am on 15 July 2009

The Sri Lankan cricketers have won a home series against Pakistan for the first time thanks to another spectacular implosion by the temperamental tourists in the second test in Colombo.

Sitting pretty on 285 for 1 just before lunch on the third day, Pakistan were all out 35 runs later for 320.

Their third successive collapse in the series left Sri Lanka a victory target of 171 which they achieved for the loss of only three wickets, taking a winning 2-nil lead in the 3-match series.
