Wallabies aware of Eden park hoodoo

6:44 am on 16 July 2009

The Wallabies have arrived in Auckland only too aware of the hoodoo that has haunted Australian teams in the city.

They have just four wins in 22 attempts, none in 23 years, while New Zealand are undefeated there since 1994.

After arriving at Auckland airport last night coach Robbie Deans says they're all well aware of the history, and they get reminded of it... however he says his players have the opportunity to change it.

Deans is bracing the Wallabies for a massive lift in intensity from the home side who have shown indifferent form in tests against France and Italy.

He says form leading into the match is irrelevant, the only thing that matters is what happens on the day.

The Wallabies will train at Auckland Grammar School today in similar condition to those expected on Saturday night - cool with possible showers.
