The New Zealand Warriors will assess captain Steve Price over the next few days before deciding if he'll be able to play in Sunday's National Rugby League match against the Sydney Roosters after being severely concussed in last night's State of Origin match in Brisbane.
The Queensland veteran was taken from the field on a stretcher after being knocked out in a fight during the closing stages of the Maroons' 28-16 loss to New South Wales.
Blues back-rower Trent Waterhouse was sent off for his involvement in the incident.
Queensland's team doctor Steve Saunders says it is too early to tell if Price will need an extended period on the sidelines.
Saunders says that's a matter of how quickly he recovers - everybody's brain recovers differently.
