Four debutants have been named in the New Zealand men's basketball team for the side's European tour.

Junior Tall Blacks centre Rob Loe, Hawkes Bay point guard Bay Hawks Jarrod Kenny, Wellington Saints forward Leon Henry and the Waikato Pistons guard come foward Tom Abercrombie are the newcomers.

Shooting guard Kirk Penney is the most experienced player in the team with 94 internationals.

Pero Cameron, the Tall Blacks captain since 2000, has an ankle injury and wasn't considered for selection while Craig Bradshaw will also not tour as he has trials for a professional contract.

The opening match of their eight game tour is against Estonia next week.
