Black Sox notch up another win

The New Zealand men's softball team remains well on track for a fourth consecutive world championship title after another convincing victory, beating the Philippines 8-1 in Saskatoon, Canada.

The powerful Black Sox batting again paved the way with three home runs and nine hits in the five innings played. Pitcher Heinie Shannon conceded just one hit.

The New Zealanders top their pool with three wins from three with 37 runs for and just one against.

Canada top the other pool after beating Australia 9-6.
