Emerging Players outclassed by Australians

New Zealand Cricket's Emerging Players have lost heavily to an Australian Institute of Sport side in a 50-over match in Brisbane.

AIS made 300 for the loss of six wickets in their 50 overs, Steve Smith top-scoring with an unbeaten 125.

Tim Southee took two wickets for 74 for New Zealand, who lost wickets early and regularly to fall for 110 in the 31st over.

Only George Worker, the last batsman dismissed for 32, offered any resistance.

The next match is against South Africas's Emerging Players on Thursday.
