At the world aquatic championships in Rome, the British teenager Tom Daley produced a stunning final dive to win the gold medal on his world championship debut.
The 15-year-old, who finished eighth at last year's Olympics in Beijing, was given three perfect 10s and three 9.5s by the judges for his final dive, which relegated the Chinese favourite Qiu Bo to the silver medal.
