The American golfer Fred Funk leads the British Seniors Open at Sunningdale in the south of England on 11 under par, three shots clear of the Scot Sam Torrance.
The beaten hero of last week's British Golf Open, the American Tom Watson, is tied with the Australian Greg Norman in a group at sixth, seven shots behind after both legends carded one under 69s.
New Zealand legend Sir Bob Charles is five over after a second round 75 back in a share of 82nd but Simon Owen's dropped 30 places after a six over 76 put him eight over.
