Sri Lanka has saved the third cricket Test against Pakistan at Colombo to win the series 2-0, thanks to a heroic undefeated 130 from captain Kumar Sangakkara.

New Zealand won't have to face Chaminda Vaas next month after the Sri Lanka left-armer retired

after the third Test.

Vaas then announced his determination to win back his place in the one-day team.

The 35-year-old finished his 111-match Test career, claiming one for 90 from 39 overs to give him a career tally of 355 wickets.

The figures make Vaas easily the best fast bowler in Sri Lanka's history.
