Boks begin Tri-Nations campaign with win over NZ

The Springboks have beaten the All Blacks by 28 points to 19 in their Tri-Nations Test in Bloemfontein.

Down 14-3 at half-time to a Ruan Pienaar try and three penalties, the All Blacks closed to within 4 points after a gliding run for a try to centre Conrad Smith and another Stephen Donald penalty.

But New Zealand turned the ball over when they were hot on attack and South Africa's Jacques Fourie Jark Fouree scored at the other end, effectively sealing the game with 8 minutes left.

Assistant coach Steve Hansen says they just couldn't hold onto the ball enough at crucial times.
