Bolt wins after news compatriots test positive

12:22 pm on 25 July 2009

The world record holder Usain Bolt has won the 100 metres in 9.91 seconds at the London Grand Prix.

But his easy win was overshadowed by news that five other Jamaican athletes tested positive last month for a banned substance.

The five are members of the team for next month's world championships in Berlin.... none are thought to be Jamaica's Beijing Olympic stars.

Bolt's win, in rain and with a headwind, was some good news after that.

The triple Olympic gold medallist's main rival and compatriot Asafa Powell finished a disappointing sixth.
