Tour de France chief cautious after clear race

The man behind the Tour de France Christian Prudhomme was understandably cautious after celebrating a scandal-free 96th edition of the race yesterday morning in Paris.

For the first time in living memory the world's biggest bike race avoided being dragged through the mire by drugs cheats.

Prudhomme, who covered the race as a journlist for many years, and took over as race director three years ago, believes the fight against the drugs is far from over.

Six riders were exposed as drug cheats during and after last year's tour.
