New Zealand will be represented by Martin Lukes and Graeme Butcher at the Commonwealth 100km ultra distance running championship in Keswick England in mid-September.

Lukes from Christchurch has competed with distinction at previous world 100km championships. He was sixth in the Netherlands in 2007 and eighth in Korea in 2006.

Butcher of Masterton is the national 100km champion winning in Taupo in February in just over nine hours. He also won the 2006 title.

Meanwhile Rachel Kingsford, the North Island cross country champion, has been selected to replace the injured Rowan Baird at the Oceania cross country championships in Christchurch this coming Saturday.
