The world number two Rafael Nadal will return to tennis at next week's Montreal Masters event after a two-month lay off with injury.

Nadal's coach Toni Nadal says his nephew's been training but not very hard so he won't be in very good condition.

The Spaniard has been suffering from tendinitis in both knees and hasn't played a competitive match since being knocked out in the fourth round of the French Open

In that time Nadal lost his French Open and Wimbledon titles and his number one ranking to his Swiss rival Roger Federer.

He says the challenge is to get back into form and to be in good shape for the U.S. Open at the end of the month.
