The Bangladesh cricketer Shakib Al Hasan, has been diagnosed with dengue fever.
Al Hasan who played in the recent drawn test series against New Zealand was withdrawn from the opening one dayer against the Black Caps in Dhaka last night and is now under observation in hospital.
Bangladesh team medical staff say a blood test showed Al Hasan, who had a high fever, had contracted the virus.
