The young New Zealand yachties Alexandra Maloney and Bianca Barbarich-Bacher have won the women's world 420 championship in Italy.
The teenagers started the final day tied for second, but a win, a 4th and a 16th was enough to clinch them the title.
New Zealanders Francisco Lardies and Finn Drummond finished second in the Open class.
The double handed 420 dinghy is sailed predominantly by youth aged sailors and is seen as a pre-curser to the Olympic 470 class.
