Boks win again

6:52 am on 9 August 2009

South Africa have won their third straight Tri Nations rugby Test at home with a 29-17 victory over Australia in Cape Town.

Springbok superboot Morne Steyn kicked seven penalties and a drop goal, although the Wallabies outscored their hosts by two tries to one.

The high-flying Boks capitalised on a mistake-riddled and ill-disciplined performance from the Australians to follow up their back-to-back defeats of the All Blacks with another clinical victory.

They now lead the Tri Nations table with 12 points to New Zealand's four and Australia's lone point.
