Mortlock could be out of rest of Tri Nations

The Wallabies captain Stirling Mortlock may be sidelined for the rest of the Tri-Nations after sustaining a serious knee injury during the Australia's 29-17 loss to South Africa at the weekend.

The 32-year-old centre left the match on crutches midway through the game and while an x-ray's ruled out a break, he may have torn caritlage and will undergo further scans tomorrow.

He's almost certain to miss the Wallabies' next match against the All Blacks in Sydney on Saturday week.
