Mystics hope Tutaia's return will see others back

The Northern Mystics netball coach Te Aroha Keenan is hoping she can build a strong side around Silver Ferns shooter Maria Tutaia who is returning to the region.

After two years with the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic, Tutaia has decided to move back to Auckland to be closer to family.

The Auckland franchise has had a number of high-profile departures in recent years, but Keenan, who led the side for the first time in this season's trans-tasman competition, believes the 22-year-old's signature is just what they need.

The Mystics finished eighth this year and Keenan is hoping Tutaia will help attract a few more players to her side.
