Tendulkar goes out a winner

12:04 pm on 17 November 2013

Sachin Tendulkar has retired from international cricket with victory in his 200th test after India defeated the West Indies by an innings and 126 runs in Mumbai.

The cricket legend was dismissed for 74 in what was his final test innings and India didn't have to bat again.

Meanwhile the West Indian off spinners Marlon Samuels and Shane Shillingford have been reported for suspect bowling actions which could endanger their participation in next month's tour of New Zealand.

Both bowlers have previously been suspended for illegal bowling actions.

The retirement of Tendulkar, the most prolific run-scorer in test history, brings down the curtain on a 24-year career.
