King into main draw at Women's Squash Open

New Zealand's Joelle King has come from two games down to qualify for the main draw of the New Zealand Women's Squash Open at Bayfair in Mount Maunganui.

The world No39 overcame the left-hander Donna Urquhart, 9-11, 5-11, 11-6, 11-5, 11-9 after 46 minutes and will play another Australian the third seed Rachel Grinham at 4.15 this afternoon,

The 20-year-old from Hamilton is the lowest-ranked of four players to win through from qualifying.

The other New Zealanders in action are the seventh seed Shelley Kitchen, who plays Hong Kong's Annie Au At 5.30, and Jaclyn Hawkes who plays the American top seed Natalie Grainger at 7.
