Women's boxing will make its first appearance on the Olympic programme at the London 2012 Games.
The idea had been rejected until now by the International Olympic Committee because it had limited global appeal, but President Jacques Rogge says boxing was the only sport in the summer games where no women were involved, and it'll be a great addition to the programme.
