Central Coast and Newcastle have shared honours with a 1-1 draw in their A-League football derby at Bluetongue Stadium.
After a scoreless first half in which both sides squandered plenty of chances, Jets midfielder Jin-Hyung Song and Mariners defender Nigel Boogaard scored within three minutes of each other early in the second to ensure a share of the points.
The draw in front of 9573 fans left each side unbeaten in two rounds after both began their campaigns with wins in their season openers last week.
The Phoenix host Perth in Wellington on Sunday at 5pm.
