One change to Tall Blacks

5:08 am on 18 August 2009

There is only one change to the New Zealand men's basketball team to play Australia in next week's Oceania championship with the Harbour Heat forward BJ Anthony becoming the fifth rookie selected this year.

The 21-year-old's in for Jeremiah Truman, who's gone to San Diego to be with his wife for the birth of their first child.

The long-time Tall Blacks captain Pero Cameron has been ruled out again with a persistent ankle injury and forward Craig Bradshaw has left to start a contract in the Korean Basketball League.

Shooting guard Kirk Penney led the team in Cameron's absence on the eight-game European tour and will be captain again in Sydney on Sunday night and in Wellington on August 25.
