Denley called up for England one day squad

England have called up uncapped Kent opening batsman Joe Denly in their one-day cricket squad for the seven-match 50 overs series against Australia and the Champions Trophy in South Africa.

Denly has also been included in the squad for two Twenty20 internationals against Australia following the fifth and final Ashes test at the Oval starting on Thursday.

Andrew Flintoff, who will retire from test cricket after the Oval test to concentrate on the one-day game, has been included in both squads but fast bowler Steve Harmison misses out.

Andrew Strauss will captain the 50 overs side with Paul Collingwood leading the Twenty20 team. Collingwood captained England in their unsuccessful Twenty20 World Cup campaign this year.
