The New Zealand middle distance athlete Nikki Hamblin has qualified for the womens 1500 metres semi-finals at the world athletics championships in Berlin.
After failing to qualify for the 800 metres when she fell, Hamblin finished 8th in her heat of the 1500 in 4 minutes 9.6 seconds, just under two seconds slower than the faster qualifer.
