Williams says deeply regrets part in bloodgate saga

The Harlequins wing Tom Williams, says he deeply regrets his role in the so-called "Bloodgate" saga that resulted in a three-year Heineken Cup ban for Dean Richards,.

Williams left the field with fake blood dripping from his mouth, allowing specialist kicker Nick Evans back on the fieldnear the end of the match,

He was banned for a year but his admission he fabricated his original evidence saw his punishment reduced to four months.

William says he decided to admit his role because he'd made a grave error of judghement and the incident has done a lot of damage to rugby's image.
