The All Blacks second five Luke McAlister's eased fears he could miss Saturday's crucial Tri Nations and Bledisloe Cup Test against Australia in Sydney.

McAlister, who was named in the midfield ahead of Ma'a Nonu, suffered back spasms at training yesterday.

But he completed a full skills session today showing no signs of the injury in a 90-minute workout.

McAlister suffered the same injury after his last Test start against Italy in June and a final decision on whether he will play, or whether Nonu will earn a recall from the bench, is likely to be made tomorrow.
