The International Cricket Council has confirmed that an Australia player was approached by a bookmaker during the Ashes tour of England.
But the ICC says there is no evidence of any illegal activity as a result of the approach, which took place after the second test at Lord's in July.
It has also praised the player and the Australia management for reporting it.
