Manawatu have continued their good form in the Air New Zealand Cup, beating Otago 19-12 in front of a good crowd in Palmerston North.
Manawatu defended well for the last half hour to gain their third win from four matches while Otago has only the one win.
The visitors led 12-7 at half time, but Manawatu scored two tries early in the second half before holding on for the victory.
Otago was plagued by handling errors and made too many basic handling errors.
Casey Stone scored 2 tries for Manawatu with Andre Taylor getting the other, while Karne Hesketh and Ben Smith scored tries for Otago.
Tonight North Harbour host Northland and Southland host Hawke's Bay.
