Tall Blacks ready for Australia on Sunday

7:09 am on 21 August 2009

The New Zealand basketball team fly to Sydney today in preparation for their first of two tests against Australia on Sunday.

The Tall Blacks have a relatively young and inexperienced side, missing Pero Cameron through injury and Craig Bradshaw to the Korean basketball league.

But captain Kirk Penney says the team are prepared for a physical game and will attempt to push them out of their comfort zone...

Penney says he has a lot of belief in the side and expects an improvement from their tour of Europe last month.

The second match is in Wellington on Tuesday.

Both nations have already qualified for next year's World Championships in Turkey.
