England's Broad and Swann take Australia apart on day two

7:28 am on 22 August 2009

Stuart Broad transformed the fifth and final Ashes cricket test between England and Australia at the Oval with a devastating spell of quick bowling in the afternoon session of day two.

Broad took five for 37 as Australia collapsed to 160 all out after tea in reply to England's first innings 332.

Off-spinner Graeme Swann got four for 38 in the game England must win to regain the Ashes.

The Australia openers Shane Watson and Simon Katich took their team to 73 without loss shortly after lunch, but the arrival of Broad brought the Australian collapse.

In reply, England are 37 for 2, having lost opener Alistair Cook and Ian Bell.
