16-year-old Megan Craig upset third seed Kylie Lindsay in a five-game thriller this morning to advance to the women's quarterfinals at the New Zealand Squash Championships in Palmerston North.
Craig, a member of the New Zealand junior team, came from 2-1 down before claiming the best win of her young career.
In the men's draw, experienced Aucklander George Crosby ended
the run of second seed Josh Greenfield in the men's quarterfinal.
Seventh seeded Crosby, beat local hope Greenfield to secure a semi-final spot for just the third time in his long career.
In tonight's women's semi-finals world number 16 Jaclyn Hawkes takes on 4th seed Tamsyn Leevey and world number 39 Joelle King plays Megan Craig.
The men's semi's see top seed and defending champion Kashif Shuja play fifth seed Alex Grayson while 7th seed George Crosby plays 6th seed Oliver Johnston for a place in the final.
