The England cricketers have regained the Ashes with a comprehensive win in the fifth and deciding Test at the Oval in London.

Chasing a world record 546 to win, Australia were dismissed on the fourth day for 348, giving England victory by 197 runs and a 2-1 win in the series.

Two run-outs in the space of six balls accounted for Australia's two best batsmen Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke, while Michael Hussey returned to form to give Australia a slim chance - he was the last batsman out for 121.

The England opening batsman and captain Andrew Strauss was named man of the series.
