Team New Zealand has won the Portugal Trophy regatta, the fourth round of the MedCup series.
Only one race was sailed on the final day and NZL380 finished seventh, two places ahead of the Sweish yacht Artemis which had gone into the final day with lead of 1.5 points.
Team New Zealand has won three of the four regattas in the series and takes a 52-point lead into next month's final regatta in Spain.
Team boss Grant Dalton says they knew Portimao was going to be a difficult regatta because the rest of the fleet is improving.
Dalton says they also knew the weather was likely to be light, which would suit Artemis, while NZL380's better in heavier conditions.
