Five of the seven New Zealand boats racing in semi finals at the world rowing championships in Poznan, Poland have made A finals.

Rebecca Scown and Emma Feathery remain unbeaten this season, coming from behind to win their semi while the men's pair of Eric Murray and Hamish Bond led from the 500-metre mark to win theirs.

Double scullers Nathan Cohen and Matthew Trott made their second world final with a close second behind the favoured German pair.

Single sculler Mahe Drysdale won his semi while Emma Twigg was third in hers.

The women's double sculls and the men's four both missed out with a fourth and will race B finals.

Duncan Grant and lightweight double Peter Taylor and Storm Uru race their semis overnight with a good chance both could add to the six New Zealand boats already in A finals.
