Taranaki have withstood an unrelenting second-half attack from Manawatu to win their Air New Zealand Cup rugby match in Palmerston North 12-10.
Willie Ripia kicked Taranaki to a 12-3 lead at half time.
Kurt Baker scored Manawatu's try in the 55th minute, and the rest of the team's points came from the boot of Aaron Cruden.
