Scott Dixon edged again in Chicago

New Zealand's Scott Dixon has been edged into second in one of the Indycar championship's closest finishes with eight thousandths of a second between his car and the winner Ryan Briscoe's.

Dixon started from the third row of the grid at the Chicagoland speedway with the series leader Briscoe on pole.

But although the defending champion led for most of the second half of the race he says his car didn't have the speed of Briscoe's so another second in Chicago is no surprise.

The Australian had to work his way back through the field after a pitstop problem and now leads Dixon by 32 points with two rounds to go.
