The England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff admits he may never play cricket again after undergoing surgery on a long-standing knee injury.

Flintoff, who helped England regain the Ashes with victory in the final Test against Australia last week, underwent exploratory arthroscopic surgery on his right knee this week and expects to be laid up for several months.

He says there is a possibility he may not play again if the operation is unsuccessful.

Flintoff says his test career ended on a high but he'd like to finish his one-day career by winning the World Cup.
