Vatuvei and Ropati to miss Stacey Jones' last NRL match

6:44 pm on 1 September 2009

Winger Manu Vatuvei and centre Jerome Ropati will both miss playing alongside Stacey Jones in his final National Rugby League match for the Warriors against Melbourne in Auckland on Saturday night.

Ropati suffered a shoulder injury in Sunday's loss to the Bulldogs while Vatuvei suffered a knee injury.

With Ropati out, Patrick Ah Van will play at centre and Aidan Kirk replaces Vatuvei on the wing.

The match will close off Jones' NRL career after what has been his 12th season.

Jones owns most of the club's records including most points and most tries as well as most games.

Only one player, Jacob Lillyman, is set to complete the season having made an appearance in all of the club's 24 matches.
