McCaw will play whereever, but not yet

The All Black captain Richie McCaw believes its a little too soon to be making a permanent move from his openside flankers position.

McCaw enjoyed playing number eight for Canterbury last weekend and it has always been expected that at some stage he would move to one of the other looseforward positions because of the continual pounding his body takes in the openside role.

The All Blacks assistant coach Steve Hansen has talked of his wish to see Adam Thomson at openside.

The likes of Michael Jones have made a successful move from 7 to 6 and McCaw admits he's always been prepared to play wherever he's told.
